Go Strawless

June 1, 2018 | Chad Hildebrand

When the United Nations tagged India to host this year's World Environment Day, the discussion around single use plastics took on the political fervor of a 1960's rally. With organizations like the Surfrider Foundation leading "strawless summer" campaigns across a number of cities worldwide, we may be able to finally #beatplasticpollution ... and enjoy a new summer of love.

Join Our Entourage, Save Turtle

Post Entourage, actor Adrian Grenier (AKA Vincent Chase) has held off on surgery and focused on a different kind of plastic. Straws. Grenier has joined a star studded cast of actors, scientists, activists, politicians, organizations and even your buddy down the street to join Lonely Whale in fighting for a strawless ocean.

And through his efforts, he may be able to save Turtle. At this point, we have all probably witnessed the excruciating video of the turtle with a plastic straw up its nose. We won't share the link here, but if you have ever seen the video... I imagine you will never want to use a plastic straw again.

To join Grenier and friends to officially #stopsucking, check out ... or better yet, support a young Ocean Hero at this weekend's boot camp.

Drinkable Tees Without the Straw

This time last year, Remedy Hike launched on World Environment Day in conjunction with the "I'm With Nature" campaign. But our support of the global phenomenon doesn't stop there. We plan to join the United Nations World Environment Programme and tag our friends around the world to #beatplasticpollution.

We even decided to get a little creative with it and launch our very own "Go Strawless" campaign. Check out our newest tee shirt that features Ms Bubbles Glass, who is cold as ice and has no problem ditching her long time partner Mr Straws ... as she plans to Go Strawless.

If you would like to purchase a tee shirt and make your own statement on the matter, click here. As always, 10% of profits will be donated to local charities to support their initiatives... and help save a turtle.

Not So Fun Fact:

If you eat seafood regularly, you're likely ingesting 11,000 pieces of tiny plastic a year.

We will always be disappointed that a group of squid isn't called a squad.

Remedy Hike is on a mission to change the way we think about our health. We hike for change. Because we see Health Outside the Ordinary.
