Bygones Are Bygone With Ions And So On...
September 25, 2017 | Brandon Mills
When is a positive a negative and a negative a positive? Well, when it comes to ions!
As most of us become evermore reliant on our electrical devices, research has show that the positive ions released by these devices interact with us physically... leading to increased levels of stress, lower serotonin levels, poor sleep patterns and (even worse) bouts of depression.
Certainly, we are not throwing our smart phones and TVs in the trash bin any time soon. So, what can we do about it!?
Buy Himalayan sea salt lamps!? Yes, they are pretty. But if you are anything like us, these beauties might not be enough to stop the onslaught of positive ions. Therefore, we need to find solutions that go beyond pretty! Remedy Hike has your back!
Statistics show that heading outdoors for a hike in the forest, along the beach or to a waterfall can produce anywhere form 1100 to 1,000,000 negative ions/cm3. Wow, that's a lot... right? Studies from universities like Columbia (in New York City) have shown that immersing ourselves in that amount of those negative little guys can be as effective as anti-depressants!
Join us this month for a hike and feel guilt free to bring your phone! [for those beautiful nature pictures only, of course] As we enjoy the great outdoors together, we can put these stress inducing headache makers in check, reduce irritability, and balance our body's circadian rhythm (ie. getting some of that good ole shut eye).
Sounds like after a Remedy Hike we are setting ourselves up for a better nights sleep and a more productive week!
We will always be disappointed that a group of squid isn't called a squad.
Remedy Hike is on a mission to change the way we think about our health. We hike for change. Because we see Health Outside the Ordinary.
